Doug C.What if I need to override AudioWrangler's choice?
Not a problem! Simply select another device from the macOS Sound menu as usual. AudioWrangler won't interfere with these manual changes.
Does AudioWrangler poll for device changes?
No! AudioWrangler receives notification from macOS when devices are connected and disconnected. It only initiates a change to your preferred devices when this occurs. This means AudioWrangler uses very little CPU to do its thing.
What is the "mute internal speakers when switching to it" option for?
This is intended to support users who work in shared spaces (such as open offices or coffee shops). When this option is enabled, AudioWrangler will mute the internal speaker if it is switched to that. This prevents music from blasting out of your laptop when your headphones are disconnected.
